A Mumming Play for Halloween

"The Lambton Worm -What really happened"  
an award winning play from the award winning pen of the landlord himself. 
Starring the award winning actor, the landlord and performed in his award winning pub supported by the Hexham Morris Men who may get an award if they try harder.

The performance will take place in the bar when the Morris Men have had enough to drink.
Places in the bar are on a first come first seated basis on the night.
Bookings may be made for the other rooms. 

Music and singing will take place during the evening and Pizzas will be cooked in the traditional bread oven.
Bookings for Pizzas are advisable.

Entry is free, there may be a charge to leave.

December Story Nights

An Evening of Strange and Bewildering Tales

Strange Tales of the fantastical and Supernatural will be recounted in the rooms of the Black Bull Tavern in Frosterley.
Being of such a bewildering and strange nature they are suitable only for persons aged 14 and above.

An ample supper of several courses will be provided during the evening. 

We must emphasise that these evenings have always been oversubscribed and early booking is essential to secure tickets for the price of £34.95


Payment is requested in advance

The audience to be seated by 7-00pm.

This year the event is taking place over 4 nights.

We have had so many requests for the Landladies famous pies that Diane has been persuaded to get her Pinnie on and get baking.

accompanied by the Landladies homebaked Classic British Pies.
